Is that crazy or what? Basically, it's happened like this:
➕your first birthday: you were the only little guy that your papa and I held at home (but your mama was already carrying your baby sister in her belly).
➕your second birthday: your sister was right there with you and you two were the only little ones we held.
➕your third birthday: your sister helped you blow out candles and your new baby brother was held right next to you two.
Basically, we give you a sibling on each birthday! Although I won't guarantee you that there will be another one on your next big cake, but there most likely will just be you, your brother and sister.
I feel somewhat guilty with your birthday this year. Yet, I am taking it as a lesson learned instead. When your papa asked me what we were doing for you this year, I told him just a cake. So he understood, a small party when I literally meant a cake here at home and no party. We soon learned that this third birthday is perhaps the perfect year to start making birthday parties. So expect something next year buddy.
The night before your big day, I stayed up (God only knows how) to decorate your room so you could wake up and see some different stuff in there. You came to get me in the morning so we ran back over there. You opened your door and said 'oh wow!' It was like you had just seen it for the first time and you got so happy and excited! Olivia and I couldn't help but to get excited with you.
We started working our way towards your presents but first you two enjoyed throwing those balloons over and over again.
Let me tell you, once you got a hold of that brown wrapping paper, boy, you got to work!
You have a serious thing for puzzles. You began dominating them throughout different apps on the iPad. Then, you worked your way onto a huge ninja turtles floor puzzle. And all if those little puzzles we had at home, they have been a joke. So, we got you one that still has your mind working overtime along with a spelling one.
Your papa wasn't a fan of the spelling one because 'that's not fun' but, lucky you and I, you like it too. I picked it out with homeschooling in mind, alright?
I added extra tissue paper for you to rip through, by the way. You're welcome.
Little miss thing received a couple if presents too, we don't want to make any of you feel left out even if it's not your birthday. So gave you a fun little box of chalk and a sticker book that you probably used up a lot quicker than we imagined.
Let's not forget that baby brother was there to celebrate too! I had to crop out my double chin, sorry guys!!
I'll be sharing even more pictures in a future post. I seriously took so many, I can't even believe my camera could hold so many. I guess I got a bit too excited with the day and light from that morning.
Before I finally post this up, let me not forget the last gift that you hadn't even noticed: your Halloween costume. Your grandma Angie picked this one out for you since last year! A sweet little knight.
A second part is coming up... Just give me a minute...
