2 Month-Old Olivia

Hello Miss Olivia Juliet!

You turned two whole months just days ago and I'm sitting here thinking (I'm so hungry, wait... no), TWO?! Seriously!? I cannot believe how fast time has gone by and truthfully, it really doesn't seem that long ago that we had you, brought you home, and that David's schedule went out the door.

Your brother continues to love you and I can definitely tell that he is getting impatient with you. Yes, impatient. He wants you to move around and play with him. He goes to grab your hands and legs and wants you to respond. All you do is look at him and smile.

Yes, you smile. Yes, it melts my heart. I say "look, look!" Each time you do as if its the first time. Truthfully, you make me smile every morning when you wake up and get your diaper changed. That's your first reaction, isn't that cute?

Nighttime. My favorite part of how you quickly got onto our schedule, for now at least. You sleep through the night with one feeding at around 430 when your papa goes off to work. He leaves my bed and I bring you over. Then David wakes up around 8 or 9 and the three of us just chill there until dad comes home by 9. I don't know that you needed all that detail but I'll leave it as some sort of reference.

Feedings are much more on your schedule and I'm really trying hard to work up my reserve. By this I mean that I want our fridge stocked with milk in our freezer. So far, I've saved three baggies and that took six days! You need to latch on more, but I understand if you're too full.

Aunt Sarah absolutely adores you and comes to sneak a peek of you any chance she gets. There's something about her that when she holds you, you automatically fall asleep. So, when I leave you with daddy while I run errands, he calls her over if you wake up and cry. She knows how to watch out for you even if she falls asleep with you.

Napping is getting to be a tad bit less frequent. You stay awake longer and look around and smile and look around some more.

Tummy time, not your favorite but you do it. You get a little fussy so I don't do it too often with you. Yet, when we do, you're a strong little lady! Holding your head up and then you immediately start looking for food.

Throwing up has slowed down drastically within this last month. Thank god because when you threw up, you gushed! Sorry if that's not very ladylike but it is the truth. You got me really good one day and your dad had to run and help both of us. Daddy to the rescue!? Always.

I hear you humming in your sleep. I wonder if you'll continue to do this as you keep growing up. Maybe you'll be a singer? That would be very exciting!

By the way, your brother might have bite you as a two-month gift... And you might have scratched yourself really badly as a gift for yourself too...
